Denver aquarium

So the past two weekends we have tried to take the kids to the aquarium only to get there and find the place swarming with hundreds of people or without electricity. We'll get there one of these weekends!

The kids were bummed that we couldn't go to the aquarium so we headed to the huge REI store just a two minute walk away from the aquarium. Luckily there was a cool indoor play area for kids. We let Zach and Julianne run around and get their wiggles out and they were happy. Kids can be so easy to please!
Downtown Denver is a great place. We walked around, threw rocks in a river, ate dirty snow and called it a day.
So the picture below is from this past Saturday when the aquarium was shut down because the power was out.  It was snowing outside and we wanted to do something fun indoors with the kids and the aquarium seemed like perfect place, but once again, it wasn't meant to be. The kids were bummed so I quickly thought of the Cherry Creek Mall's indoor play area. The kids had the greatest time running and jumping on all the play food. Julianne got creamed by two different six year olds two different times. The minute I would look away I would hear a loud scream and sure enough a huge boy would be laying on top of Julianne after landing on top of her while trying to jump off one play thing to the next. She would cry so hard she turned purple. The picture below is of Julianne's scowl face; which she has totally mastered and does frequently due to the fact that she gets a rise out of people each time she does it. I told her she had to stay on the small play things close to me and she was not having it, apparently!

I love all your new posts. Your kids are so cute. I can't wait to see you this summer. My kids LOVE Home Depot. Lowes does the same thing twice a month but you have to register online first. Last week we made the bird feeders at HD and the girls are dying to buy some food and try them out.
